EPD was introduced at Egypt’s 1st Sustainable Finance Conference held in 2020 with the presence of Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority, the Egyptian Stock Exchange and number of leading corporates. The event was organized by DCarbon EG, the environmental consultancy firm leading the Sustainability movement and advocacy to LCA among multiple key-sector in the Egyptian economy. The event was the 1st carbon-neutral event, guided by the UN Sustainable Event Guidelines and in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Agreement and Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy.
